6th Annual Turkey Fest Underway

The week of April 18 – 22nd, 2012, will be a hustlin’, bustlin’ whirlwind of events throughout every square mile of Clay County!.

We’ve got something for everyone, including; a CASI -sanctioned Chili  Cook-Off, as well as an Open Divison, and a Fire Dept. Division.  For hunting afficionados, get your camo out and hunt down the best turkey you can find to compete against the professional, celebrity teams.

For our families, a true festival experience is being relocated from the Pioneer Grounds to the Courthouse Square (similar to Pioneer Reunion, without the horses).  Retail vendors, food vendors, live music & entertainment, and demonstrations will keep you buzzing around the courthouse for hours – bring your lawnchair and rest while you watch your kids get caught up in the craze of the 2012 Turkey Fest!

Speaking of kids, there will be a Children’s Area chocked full of activities (some free; some cost admission) including a Bounce House extravaganza of 4 courses; a Petting Zoo, pony rides, train rides, Home Depot children’s activity center, and more.

And for anyone wanting to meet the Celebrity Hunt Teams, Saturday afternoon will offer that opportunity as they sign autographs, take pictures, and have give-away merchandise for their fans.  Or better yet, attend the Full Strut Banquet Saturday evening and bid on a live hunt with one of the Celebrity Teams to take place the next morning!

Please visit the Turkey Fest link on the menu tab above to get full-fledged details of each event!
