November 16th – The Chamber is gearing up for several spectacular Christmas events on the evening of December 3rd. Grab your family and lawnchairs and head down to the courthouse square for a sight our county has never seen before. The Cub Scouts will kick-off the evening with “Sled Races”, next the Lighted Parade will proceed around the square, and then the grand finale of lighting up the Courthouse and Christmas Tree will surely brighten everyone’s holiday spirit.

October 18, 2011 – We will be celebrating our 84th Birthday this year. With newly refurbished interior and a beautiful landscaping overhaul including new information signs – you really need to stop by the “Caboose” to say hello! We always welcome members and visitors to seek information about our wonderful town and surrounding communities and what all we have to offer!!
We had a ribbon cutting today at Coyote Creek’s new addition, the Lazy Heifer Saloon. This massive space is perfect for family reunions, parties, showers or just a break! Adults will love to pay pool, enjoy Friday or Saturday lunch, and watch Andy Griffith movies. Kids can ride the mechanical horse or merry-go-round. Come on out y’all!
The Turkey Fest team meet at the Clay County Memorial Hospital to discuss the plan for 2012. We decided to make a few changes to the program in order to build on six years of momentum and offer attendees the Turkey Fest they are looking for. Instead of hosting the chili cook-off at the Pioneer Grounds we are going to invite a whole host of vendors to set up their spaces around our lovely courthouse square.
